Explore Alternative Energy Education and Green Jobs Education
Alternative Energy Education is beginning to provide educational opportunities that can enable one to find green energy jobs. However, it is difficult to decide how to go about starting your educational career in clean energy education. Since this is an emerging field, it will be helpful to have a framework where we can first 1) establish the longevity of green jobs education; and 2) explore various renewable energy educational routes to map out one's educational experiences. In terms of longevity of clean energy education, it is important to understand that access to reliable energy is key to the economic development of any country. We know that there is a strong link between quality of living or living standards and access to electricity. We also know that half of the world's rural population (about 2 billion people) have no access to traditional forms of electricity (fossil fuels, nuclear energy, or natural gas). Therefore, renewable energy technologies (solar panels, wind turbines, and other self-sufficient energy sources) will be able to provide the rural communities with the electricity to power their homes, schools, dispensaries, and other industries. the potential growth of renewable energy education and careers. Various options are available to you if are interested in exploring green jobs education. At least, two broad categories come to mind: 1) Technical Training in clean energy education : Since these energy sources include alternative solar energy, wind renewable energy, biomass energy, and geothermal energy, therefore, alternative energy curriculum provides hands-on and technical training each of these categories. Here are a few examples: a) Solar Energy Education: Attending solar classes allows one to participate in a fast growing economy and learn skills such as installing photovoltaic (PV) cells, solar technical, business, and sales training.

b) Wind Turbine Schools : This educational field is so new that Bureau of Labor Statistics started collecting data on national and state employment and wages data only in 2009. Going to a wind turbine school enables you to get the technical training (wind turbine mechanical system, wind turbine operations, electric motors and generators) as well as broader training (site analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting)

2) Management Training in Renewable Energy Education : One can move into a management position by pursuing a Green MBA Program. Having some technical knowledge about alternative energy sources will be a big advantage before moving into a management position. Green MBA enables you to learn more about sustainability issues and contribute toward the economic well being of your employer. These days, many institutions are also beginning to offer Green MBA degree program and other alternative energy educational opportunities online.
